Breaking Down Our Full Process – Private Label Coffee

As someone interested in a private-label coffee dropshipping business, you’ve probably done a ton of research to see what dropshipping coffee suppliers are out there and what best suits your needs.

In this article, I’ll break down Path Coffee Roasters’ private-label coffee dropshipper program so you know what we offer and what additional services are available as needed.

Firstly, a quick overview of what dropshipping is. When you start an e-commerce private label coffee brand, a lot goes into manufacturing that bag and getting it to the customer. Unless you want to get into the minutia of roasting, packaging, and shipping, there is no need to consider doing any of these things.

That’s where Path Coffee Roasters comes in. We do all the production and shipping for you, and all you need to do is build your site and market your product to drive sales. That’s dropshipping in a nutshell, or in our case, a coffee cherry.

Now, on to what our program entails.

Private Label Coffee Packaging & Labels

So that you can stand out as a private-label coffee dropshipper, we offer a beautiful 12oz matte black block bottom bag with a pocket zipper (snap seal), a tear notch, and a one-way valve. This is our stock bag, and it’s classic looking. We love this bag because the snap seal is excellent for keeping the coffee fresh and big enough to scoop or pour out what you need.

We also offer a 5-pound kraft side gusset bag with a valve for someone who wants a larger size. This is our wholesale stock bag, and we use it every day for our wholesale clients.

Our price list includes the use of these two stock bags as needed and one front label.

Speaking of our labels, they are custom die-cut sheet labels. They come six to a sheet and have a lovely textured finish that absorbs ink well. We print these labels on our printer on demand and as needed. When we print labels here, we do not print full-bleed or full-coverage labels. Review our label templates to get an idea of the style of the label we prefer to print here. If you would like a full bleed, full coverage label you can have them printed at a third-party printer and sent to us. We charge a small monthly fee to inventory and manage any materials sent to us.

Please note that if you design your stock’s custom label, the size is 3″ x 3.75″. The labels sit nicely in a verticle or horizontal position, though I honestly prefer horizontal.

Coffee Options & Roast Degree

Since we offer our private-label coffee services to many customers, we need to have a concise menu that covers many bases. Our coffee menu consists of gourmet coffees from Africa, Indonesia, Central, and South America. At this time, we do not offer custom roasts. We spend a lot of time testing and profiling each coffee to maximize all the beautiful flavors inherent in each one.

While we don’t focus on a particular roast shade except for our Nocturnal Dark Roast, we tend to fall into the medium roast range for many of our coffees. Roast shade is a very subjective opinion because one person’s dark roast may be too light for another and vice versa. We do our best to roast each coffee properly, developing each one without imparting any roast or smoke flavors when not intended.

Physical Packaging Samples

If you would like to take your product photos, you can order, through our site, a bag and printed label sheet per item. If you’ve chosen to sell 12oz, 5lb, or both on your site, you can order them in bundles. We will then print you one sheet of labels (6 identical labels per sheet), include the unfilled packaging of your choice, and mail them to you.

Product Images

To stand out as a premium private-label coffee business, you will absolutely need professional, well-executed product images for each of the coffees on your site. We offer this service for all of our private-label coffee dropshippers.

Transparent Wholesale Pricing, No Hidden Fees

Unlike some other private-label coffee suppliers, we have very transparent wholesale pricing. You only pay for the cost of the bag and the actual cost of shipping. We do not mark up the shipping, tack on any pick and pack fees, or other added costs to the process. If there is something special you’d like us to do, we will let you know if there is an associated fee for that before moving forward.

Our goal is to make your costs easy to understand, and you always have access to our current menu pricing page. We will also provide the supporting shipstation reports that show the coffee you shipped, how much, and the shipping’s actual cost for every charge we run to your card.

Shipping Materials

Depending on the size of an order, we use the most appropriate padded envelope or box. This might be a white padded envelope or a Flat Rate USPS padded envelope. Our bag pricing includes shipping materials, so using anything out of the norm would be an additional charge. If you would like to send us your boxes or bags, we can inventory them for a monthly fee.

Production & Shipping Process

We make sure that our private-label coffee partners get the service they require to grow their businesses. How your customers receive their coffee matters, so we use the latest technology to receive and ship your orders.

Orders get placed on your site, and they are kicked over to our Shipstation portal. From there, we print out the branded packing slip and shipping label. If you have any special needs or requests, we create each bag by hand and ship it using the most cost-effective method for the order.

Our private label coffee dropshipper program stands out as one of the most comprehensive, quality-driven, and transparent.
