La Pradera, Colombia
milk chocolate, sweet citrus, toasted nuts, ripe fruit
This lovely Colombian coffee from La Pradera tastes of sweet citrus, milk chocolate, toasted nuts and a hint of ripe fruit. The mouth feel is silky and the acidity is nicely balanced.
This is not your average Colombian by any stretch and that's what makes it so delicious. With over 350,000 trees, Hector Daza and his son Oscar tend to a variety of different coffee types including Tabi, Typica, Geisha and Bourbon varietals. The La Pradera coffee estate is located in the mountains close to the Chicamocha canyon. At 1700 meters it receives the perfect conditions to grow amazing coffee. The canyon provides low humidity, good sunlight and warm winds. With great care and the perfect conditions the Daza family produce a wonderful coffee.
